【摘要】:ThistestmethodcomparesclosuresforESCR.Suitablevariablesare:closurematerials,closuredesigns,processes,appliedtorque,andstress-crackagents.ResultscanbeusedforestimatingshelflifeofclosuresintermsofESCR.Thisrequiresthattheuserhascalibratedfailuretimeinthistesttofailuretimeinthefieldforactualpackagingsystems.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthesusceptibilityofthreadedplasticclosurestofailureduetoenvironmentalstresscracking(ESC).1.2Inuse,threadedplasticclosurescancontactagentsthatappreciablyreducethestressatwhichcracksform.Examplesofsuchagentsare:soaps,detergents,oils,andliquidbleaches.1.3Majorfactorsthatinfluenceenvironmentalstresscrackresistance(ESCR)ofthreadedplasticclosuresincludetheclosurematerial(s),closuredesign,molded-instress,andappliedstress.1.4Thisprocedurecanbeappliedtoallclosures,butisparticularlyapplicabletoclosuresmadefromplasticsbasedonpolypropylene(PP)orpolystyrene(PS).1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8and6.2.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothistestmethod.
