【摘要】:1.1ThisPartofBS7394specifiesrequirementsforcompletespectaclesincorporatingapairofprescriptionlenses.1.2ThisPartofBS7394isnotapplicabletothefollowing:a)ready-to-wearspectacles(see3.2andalsoBSEN14139);b)spectaclestobeusedforeyeprotection(thesespectaclesarespecifiedinBSEN166)orspectaclesintendedforuseinhighactivityorcontactsports;c)spectacleswithoutopticalpowertobeusedasnon-prescriptionsunglareeyeprotectors(thesespectaclesarespecifiedinBSEN1836).1.3ThisPartofBS7394definesseveraltermsthatmaybeusedwhendispensingorwhichwillhelpindescribingthenumericalattributesofvariouslenscharacteristics.ItalsoincludesalensretentiontestwhichhasbeendevelopedbytheAssociationforConsumerResearch(ACRE)withtheassistanceoftheFederationofManufacturingOpticians(FMO),theDepartmentofTradeandIndustryandtheDepartmentofHealth.1.4ThispartofBS7394isapplicabletoaproductatthepointofsupplytotheintendedwearer.NOTEAnnexAcontainsrecommendationsforthemountingoflensesandonmaterialandsurfacequalitycharacteristicsthataresubjectiveandwhich,therefore,cannotbespecified.
