【摘要】:pHis,withinthelimitsdescribedin1.1,anaccuratemeasurementofthehydrogenionconcentrationandthusiswidelyusedforthecharacterizationofaqueoussolutions.pHmeasurementisoneofthemainprocesscontrolvariablesinthechemicalindustryandhasaprominentplaceinpollutioncontrol.1.1ThistestmethodspecifiestheapparatusandproceduresfortheelectrometricmeasurementofpHvaluesofaqueoussolutionswiththeglasselectrode.Itdoesnotdealwiththemannerinwhichthesolutionsareprepared.pHmeasurementsofgoodprecisioncanbemadeinaqueoussolutionscontaininghighconcentrationsofelectrolytesorwater-solubleorganiccompounds,orboth.Itshouldbeunderstood,however,thatpHmeasurementsinsuchsolutionsareonlyasemiquantitativeindicationofhydrogenionconcentrationoractivity.ThemeasuredpHwillyieldanaccurateresultforthesequantitiesonlywhenthecompositionofthemediummatchesapproximatelythatofthestandardreferencesolutions.Ingeneral,thistestmethodwillnotgiveanaccuratemeasureofhydrogenionactivityunlessthepHliesbetween2and12andtheconcentrationofneitherelectrolytesnornonelectrolytesexceeds0.1mol/L(M).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
